In the summer of 2006, something happened that was overlooked by the majority of people! Sure, this event made some headlines, but, for the most part, it was quickly forgotten. The reason it garnered the attention it did was because of the conflict that broke out between the nation of Israel and the terrorists in Lebanon. These two issues we're talking about were intertwined.

Ok, what am I referring to specifically in my opening statement?

During some excavation work, a manuscript was unearthed that was opened to Psalm 83. I forget at this time the location of this discovery. What matters is the content of this passage and when it was discovered. As we look at this word, we see that there is an appeal being made to the God of Israel to save His people from their enemies because they are astir, and out to harm the people that the Lord Yahweh cherishes and loves. Those enemies that are mentioned specifically in the same chapter, are calling for the complete destruction of Israel! In fact they say, "Let's make sure that the name of Israel is remembered no more?"

I would personally submit, Psalm 83 is just as relevant today, maybe more so, than thousands of years ago when it was written! The timing and content of this discovery certainly made some stop and think as the Israeli/Lebanon conflict waged.

Need I remind everyone of the threats coming out of certain sectors calling for the complete destruction of Israel today?

These threats are current, with the potential and means of some nations, groups and leaders to eventually bring them to fruition. I would submit, that the same God who protected His nation in Psalm 83, is the Mighty One of Israel who can do it again! Obviously, we're living in serious and sobering times!!

Let me share, dear readers, a beautiful, encouraging and comforting passage found in Jeremiah 31:35-37. It is recorded here that, "as long as there is a sun and a moon, there will always be a nation of Israel!" What a divine promise of assurance. Will Israel be destroyed forever and Her name wiped off the face of the earth? God says, it's not going to happen! Yes, some times of great suffering is prophesied, but, not the utter destruction of God's chosen and covenant seed!

Now, I want to switch gears, so to speak, and take you dear readers in a somewhat different and mysterious direction.

Many of you out there would say, "Oh, I love a good mystery!" Well, if you do, then read on as we dig and explore a statement that's about to be presented.

You who visit this website will note the images and symbols on the splash or introductory page. The Israeli flag can be seen, for example, intermingled with all the images and symbols of the nation of America. Many will ask, "What message or statement is intended to be received and understood by such a design?"

Unless we have some Rip Van Winkle's out there who have been asleep for years, our support for Israel is universally recognized, as well as condemned by many throughout the world.

Have you heard lately the statement, "The Big Satan, and The Little Satan?" These titles are pinned on we, the United States, and the tiny nation of Israel. Why is that? Do the enemies, I would ask of both nations, know something that we don't? What is the real reason for the hatred and what are the roots and origins of all that animosity?

These are all questions that need to be answered. In some ways, yes, there is a thrilling mystery to be unraveled by those who will take the time to study and examine this issue that is very historical in nature. The historical time line, in fact, can be followed all the way back to some individuals with names like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah, Rebekah and Joseph! The name or individual called Ishmael also is preeminent as well as Esau.

I want to invest the remaining comments of this article by putting the focus on America. I think most people, "in the Christian circles" at least, recognize the nation of Israel as God's people in a very special way.

Let's turn our remaining time to the mystery of America! Why do we use the word "mystery"!

The question is being asked by many, "Is America mentioned in the Bible?" "Can her place among the nations be found anywhere in the Word of God?"

What if I gave you the answer YES! Would you believe me? Would you, the reader, dismiss outright this statement without being willing to hear the whole case? It could be asked, "Will the verdict be given before the jury is allowed to deliberate?" Dear reader, only you can make that determination. Much information and knowledge can be presented and shared right off the pages of the Word of God. It's awesome and eye opening!

No one objectively can deny there's never been a nation quite like America. Why is that? What's the real source of her greatness? Truly, as Paul Harvey is fond of saying, "Stay tuned for the rest of the story!" It promises to forever change your perspective on prophecy and the Word of God.

I would submit to all reading that this theological issue concerning the mystery of America has everything to do with the gospel of salvation and worshipping Him in TRUTH AND SPIRIT!!
