    “HOW DO I FIND MY WAY BACK HOME”?  Elvis Presley asked this question during the height of his professional career.  Elvis had been reared in an environment that stressed certain beliefs and standards and he thereby had a deeply rooted heritage in which stability should have been present in his life.  Sad to say, Elvis strayed so far from his roots that he lost sight of things he should have clung to.  Thereby, he uttered the plaintiff cry of one lost in his own tragic success story. 

     This is a sad commentary of an extremely talented and humble man in many regards.  He was searching desperately to get back to his home base for in his heart of hearts he knew that was the source of his redemption.  Elvis needed restoration in his life, but the story of his life would end without that taking place.  Our collective hearts should bleed for the memory of what could have been in the life of Elvis.  May he rest in the peaceful and merciful hands of Messiah Yeshua Jesus. 

     Let’s focus the question asked by Elvis earlier in this article onto our beloved nation of America today.  America finds herself faced with tremendous and daunting problems as we survey her national landscape.

     This ministry has been warning of a terrible storm building on the horizon.  This storm has all the elements contained within it to make it a perfect storm.  Many lives will be in the direct path of this storm as it will encompass the entire nation.  The storm can dissipate and be avoided, but it will require action on behalf of all the lands inhabitants.  The elements and ingredients of this storm have been created by all of us to some degree.  In other words, we’ve created the very storm that is approaching us with the speed and force of a runaway train.  The time element is also a key component as we look to the darkening national skyline. How much time do we have before the hail, lightning and wind start to pound us with devastating results?  This storm has been created by man and it can be avoided if proper steps and action are taken. 

     Elvis was pounded by the storms in his life and eventually destruction and death followed at an early age!  America is still a young nation compared to other nations and the question can be asked, “Will she suffer destruction and death before her fullness of time”? 

     Choices and decisions lead to consequences in all of our lives so it behooves us to choose wisely.  There is a way to get back home!  It may not be easy, but the trip can be accomplished.  Elvis could have made certain decisions which would have turned his life around.  The same principle applies to modern America today.  There is a path or road which leads to recovery and healing, but will we choose the proper path?  The path is visible and is the way out of the terrible mess we find ourselves in as a nation.  This path is the way back to our real home.  America has a home and she can navigate her way back, but real change and action has to take place.

     The heritage and roots of America are more ancient and divine than most of us realize.  The Great Creator God established America and the home she was born into.  America is not just any country, but was established and commissioned with a special destiny.  This divine fact is at the very heart and core of this open letter discussion.

     The lifetime study of this writer has led me to some astounding revelation and knowledge in regards to America and Ancient Israel.  The two nations seem to be a carbon copy model of each other. (For more insight, please send for our free pamphlet entitled, “America and Israel’s DNA) Do we sense that darkness is beginning to settle like a blackened mist over our land?  Do you see fear and apprehension start to manifest itself in the faces around you?  Can we see the visible face of panic start to appear in our national mirror?

     Dear countrymen and women, these are deeply serious times that demand thoughtful, dedicated and serious responses!  There are proper answers and solutions to our problems and we will examine this matter as briefly and concisely as this letter permits! 

     We are in the midst of a major election year in regards to the presidential race.  The democrats have chosen as their slogan, “Change To Believe In”! The slogan is one that all Americans would endorse if it would deliver us out of our troubles and many problems!  A question could be asked, “Where do we place our real trust”?  More importantly, “Who do we put our trust in”?  Men and governments can serve a rightful and good purpose, but where do they get their ultimate guidance and direction from?  We state on our national currency that it is GOD in whom we place our trust.  Do we really believe and adhere to that concept?  This writer submits that the source of our problems are spiritual in nature and require spiritual solutions most of all to lead us to change we can believe in.  Yes, change has absolutely got to take place on a national scale for us to avoid this man made storm that is thundering down upon our heads! The million dollar question is “Are we willing to make the necessary changes required to save us as a nation”?  Life and death wait to see what our answer will be.

     Let’s take a look back at Ancient Israel and a unique man whose life was intertwined with God’s chosen people.  The prophet Elijah was one of the most compelling and dynamic figures in the bible.  Elijah has been referred to as the prophet of prophets.  J. Oswald Sanders writes in his book, “Robust in Faith”, that Elijah appeared at zero hour in Israel’s history. He flashed like a meteor across the inky blackness of Israel’s spiritual night.  Ancient Israel was in dire need of deliverance from her sinful ways and Elijah was the divine voice sent to address that need.  Elijah’s name means, “Yahweh is My God” or “My God is Yahweh”!  This great prophet realized his calling was to declare the word of Yahweh to the idolatrous nation of Israel.  The eminent destruction of Israel was pending because of God’s judgment upon His own people.  Let it be noted here that most biblical scholars acknowledge Yahweh as the proper spelling and pronunciation of God’s covenant name. Exodus 3:13-15 records this personal, covenant name being given to Moses before he was sent to Egypt.  Names have deep significance and this principle certainly applies to the God of the universe! Exodus 6:6 says that Yahweh means REDEEMER and DELIVERER.  This loving and merciful God sought to call His people back to His loving abode, but the rebellion ran deep in the land of Israel.  Yahweh had given His people His laws and commandments through Moses at Mount Sinai.  They were Yahweh’s laws and not those of Moses.  Let’s understand this matter clearly.  These commandments represented the very heart of Yahweh and Deuteronomy 6:6 stated that they were to be placed upon the people’s hearts.  The people rebelled against Yahweh’s covenantal laws and Elijah was sent to restore that covenant agreement with Him and Israel. This historical record shows that Israel wouldn’t listen and repent and her destruction soon followed.

     Let’s get very specific about our national dilemma and the solution to it.  The apostle Paul used the Greek word “Nomos” to describe law, but the Hebrew word TORAH is a broader term.  TORAH means, “Instruction” and Teaching” and can be called Yahweh’s “Instruction manual for life”!  The essence of the word TORAH literally means, “To Hit The Mark”. It comes from a Hebrew root word meaning, “To Take Aim At A Target”. The Torah, or His Law, is Yahweh’s aim for us.  The opposite of Torah is, “Chata”, which means, “To Miss The Mark”. Chata is the word translated as “Sin” in the bible. 

     There you have it!  We’ve just isolated the problem and solution which are contained in the above lines.  We are missing the divine mark of a Holy and Righteous God!

     Secular institutions, individuals, and yes, even many of our churches are missing the divine mark set by our Elohim God, Yahweh!  Many cry out that you’re legalistic if you even mention or display adherence and obedience to the Torah instructions of a loving Father.  Is it any wonder that our nation is staggering and reeling like a drunken person!  We’ve lost our national equilibrium because Yahweh’s divine mark for us has been ridiculed, ignored and even blasphemed by some!  Yeshua Jesus said in Matthew 24:12 that lawlessness, or the state of Torahlessness, would predominate at the time of the end.  The signs given in the passage mentioned certainly give strong evidence that the end time is staring us smack in the face! Let’s be crystal clear about Torah, or the law, it cannot and does not save one, but it is the mark or standard we strive to hit in our lives.  The consistent message of Israel’s prophets was a call to repent and turn back to the covenant terms expressed in the Torah.  The prophets said, “Repent because you’ve broken the Torah or Law”!  The prophets also looked forward to the kingdom of Yahweh on earth when His Torah would be universally obeyed! Isaiah 2 and Micah 4 state this very clearly!  Isaiah 30:21 says the word will go out, “This is the way, walk in it”!       

     Yahweh’s way is our mark!  It is the path which will lead us back home and redeem us nationally.  Jeremiah 6:16 instructs us to ask for the ancient paths for they will give us rest and peace!  It is the good way and walking in it will bring healing and blessings.  This is change we can believe in for the eternal God is the author of it! 

     Restoration is indeed the move of the day!  It represents the right and proper change by the God who guides and directs properly.  Change must have its roots most of all in the spiritual with Yahweh God setting the terms and mark.  Prayer is great, but we must seek to make changes in our lives as we seek God’s will.  We have to move out of our comfort zones and be willing to trust, obey and follow Yahweh’s Torah instructions.  That is our only hope for national salvation from the gathering storm! 

     The spirit of Elijah and his fellow prophets are rising in power to declare the word of Yahweh!  It has come time for the word of Yahweh to go forth in this hour to a rebellious and disobedient nation!  Rest assured no power on earth can stop the voice of Yahweh from going forth! 

     It’s time!  The hour is late and approaching the midnight hour!  Repent and return O prodigal nation, churches, and people, before the midnight gate closes to the house of refuge!  The Father’s House is that secure home base of blessings and protection!  Please take the time to open, read and study for yourself Yahweh’s Holy Torah Manual For Life. It’s called The Bible.  Life is contained in its eternal pages.  Yeshua Jesus our blessed Messiah stands ready to guide and direct you to His Father’s House.  May the power of the Holy Spirit rest upon those who read this and may it bring repentance and change.
