CROSSROADS AND ANCIENT PATHS

Lou Dobbs, a CNN Journalist, made a comment recently on his program that caught my attention. He stated that America was at a crossroads!
This observation was made in regards to all the problems facing our nation. Lou’s deep frustration with leadership’s inability or unwillingness to deal with the problems was very apparent.
As I heard the word “crossroads” from Lou, the scripture Jeremiah 6:16 flashed into my mind. It reads like this: “THIS IS WHAT THE LORD YAHWEH SAYS, STAND AT THE CROSSROADS AND LOOK, ASK FOR THE ANCIENT PATHS. ASK WHERE THE GOOD WAY IS AND WALK IN IT AND YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.”
The Lord Yahweh, was talking here to the nation of Israel. They were Yahweh’s covenant people, but they too, like America, were facing huge problems. Ancient Israel was at a very critical crossroad of choice. Yahweh had to send special voices like Jeremiah to call His own people back to Him in repentance. Israel’s very survival depended upon them choosing the right road or path.
As Paul Harvey is fond of saying,” we know the rest of the story”. Israel chose the wrong road and path ensuring her ultimate destruction as a nation. Ancient Israel’s choices and example serve as a dire warning to America today.
As one would study and contrast the two nations of Israel and modern day America, the similarities and problems of both are remarkable!
It’s this writer’s opinion, after much study and research, that there is a divine connection between ancient Israel and America! Our real roots and heritage are DIRECTLY linked to this divine connection! The key to unlocking much of end time prophesy is also a critical component of this divine connection.
At this time, I want to focus you, the reader, on the words, “ANCIENT PATHS” found in the passage of Jeremiah that we referred to earlier.
Yahweh, through Jeremiah, said, “it’s the good way or road to walk down”. The challenge for all of us is to study the word to show ourselves approved. Choosing those roads or paths will bring blessings, life and peace.
Proverbs 25:2 says that Yahweh hides something and that we must search or dig for that which is hidden.
Dear reader, get in your bibles and take a trip down those ancient paths! Look for the signs along the paths! The paths indeed are well marked! This could be the trip of a lifetime for many of you.
